W4 Saddle
The W4 saddle plate is exactly like our W4 plate but has a welded saddle for a ridge beam. It therefore connects the top chords, king post, and a ridge beam in one assembly. The connector can be made for pass-through ridge beams or ridge beams that terminate at the connector.
Note: There are many ways to configure this kind of connection including notching the plate for the ridge beam to pass through, the width of the saddle, the vertical location of the saddle, etc. None of these changes affect the price but they do affect the fitment. We will contact you after your order to ensure we fabricate the connector to fit your application perfectly.
3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.

All of our plates and connectors are cut from A36 steel. Our rods are fabricated from 1018 steel. If you need plates, connectors, or rods from custom metals like A572, 304/316 stainless, or other alloys, please contact us for a custom quote.
