Which plate goes where

A king post truss with struts takes 2 king post, 2 fan, 4 strut, and 4 heel or collar tie plates: one king post, one fan, two strut, and two heel plates on this face, and their twins on the back. Plates are sold singly and used in pairs, through-bolted with threaded rod, with a washer and a nut on each face (bolts also work, but leave a head on one side).

04 Customization

Customization is free.

Everything we make is priced the same way: by the pounds of steel, plus the welding or bending it takes. Whether you pick a stock design, build your own in one of our online configurators, or send us a drawing, you pay for steel and shop time, never for the design.

Send us a sketch

If a stock design or configurator doesn't give you what you need, call us or send a sketch. We'll design the part with you, at no charge for the design. Changing a hole pattern, a width, or a spoke is often a quick answer on the phone.

We fabricate from plans

Builders, architects, and designers: send us your drawings, details, or a cut list, and we'll price them the way we price everything else. Structural design and approval stay with the project's engineer.
