F6
The F6 is a 5-spoke "fan plate" with 6" wide spokes. Fan plates are used to connect the bottom tie beam of a truss to two struts and a king post. 6" wide plates look good on timbers ranging in width from 6" to 12".
3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.

All of our plates and connectors are cut from A36 steel. Our rods are fabricated from 1018 steel. If you need plates, connectors, or rods from custom metals like A572, 304/316 stainless, or other alloys, please contact us for a custom quote.
