The I6 is useful for connecting timbers end to end or as straps that overlap timbers on any face. 6" wide plates look good on timbers ranging in width from 6" to 12".
3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.

All of our plates and connectors are cut from A36 steel. Our rods are fabricated from 1018 steel. If you need plates, connectors, or rods from custom metals like A572, 304/316 stainless, or other alloys, please contact us for a custom quote.
