The VBE6 plate is useful for connecting truss bottom tie beams to rafters where the rafters bear on the tie beam. 6" wide plates look good on timbers ranging in width from 6" to 12". 3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.
V plates connect to roof members so they depend on roof pitch. Please choose the correct pitch and plate thickness from the dropdown.

All of our plates and connectors are cut from A36 steel. Our rods are fabricated from 1018 steel. If you need plates, connectors, or rods from custom metals like A572, 304/316 stainless, or other alloys, please contact us for a custom quote.
