Face-Mounted Tie Rod Bracket
Face-mounted tie rod brackets are the easiest and most economical way to add a decorative tie rod assembly to your ceiling. Each bracket is installed with two vertically-aligned 1/4" wood screws allowing the bracket to be screwed to a traditional two-by rafter. Because these brackets do not have saddles that wrap around your rafter, they can be applied to a dry-walled ceiling after construction. Find the total span by measuring where you want your tie rod to go. Then buy two brackets, and one of our tie-rod assemblies that fits your total span.
Like all of our tie rod brackets, these brackets are made from 1/4" steel plate. (Grip plates are made from 3/8" plate for 1" rods.)
Note: tie rods are heavy, please be sure to screw the face-mounted bracket into a wooden rafter.
