About the collar tie truss plate

The Taiga collar tie truss plate is useful for connecting truss bottom chords to top chords where the bottom chord hangs from the top chord (as in collar ties/tie beams).

V plates connect to roof members so they depend on roof pitch.

3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.
