01 Description

About the heel truss plate

The Esker heel truss plate is useful for connecting truss bottom tie beams to rafters where the rafters bear on the tie beam. 6" wide plates look good on timbers ranging in width from 6" to 12". 3/16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1/4" is better for applications that need structural support.

V plates connect to roof members so they depend on roof pitch.
